Love, Your Heavenly Father



Dear child,

I just want to let you know that you are precious in my sight. You mean so much to me that I was willing to give up my only Son so that you could be set free from the bondage of sin. I knew that there was a chance that I would lose Him, but heaven was no place to be desired while you were still lost.
Dear child, I know that life is sometimes very challenging and painful, but I want you to know that you are never alone. When you are sad I am right there beside you to comfort you. When you can't go another step, I pick you up and carry you.There hasn't been a time in your life when I have not tenderly watched over you. I know that sometimes you wonder where I am when things get rough and bad things happen. My precious child, it is in these moments that I am especially close. It is not because I am not there that life is challenging, but it is because you live in a world that is sinful.
I know that you often wonder what the future holds. Sometimes you find it hard to trust me that I know what is best for you. Oh my precious child, have I ever let you down? I don't just desire to give you that which is good, but rather that which is best for you. If you could see the end from the beginning, you would not chose to be led otherwise.
Dear child, I have a great plan for your life. There is place in my vineyard just for you. Though you may feel weak and helpless, in my strength you can be strong.
You don't need any special talents to be an effective worker for me. It is a humble and selfless heart that I am looking for. Too often you come up with many excuses why you can't be used in a certain line of service. My child, if I have called you then I most certainly will also equip you.
I long to have an ever deeper relationship with you. I want to be more to you than just a vending machine, or a Ruler in heaven. I want you to experience a relationship with me that is so deep that my thoughts become your thoughts and my ways your ways. I want to become the most important part of your life, the center of your conversations, and the focus of your thoughts. Not because I am an unreasonable God, but because I could not bear the thought of spending eternity without you. Just like Enoch walked so close with me that I called him home, so I want you to walk as close with me so that I can call you home that glorious day.

Great Things

Let's be honest. I don't think there is anybody that does not desire to accomplish great things. A lot of us want to impact the world in mighty ways; yes we want to bring about change that is noticeable. There is nothing wrong with wanting to do great things, but I do believe that we don't fully understand what is "great" in God's eyes. Working at the nursing home has taught me that some of the greatest things in life are little things in the world's eyes. The world does not consider holding a dejected man's hand, or looking at a picture book with a 95 year old woman as "great" things, but I can assure you that it means a great deal to the individual. May The Year 2016 Be Different

A new year has begun Lord, and I want this year to be the best one I have had yet. I am not asking for earthly wealth, and am not seeking ease, but Lord I pray that this year will be different. May this year be the year that I draw closer to You than I have ever before. May this be the year where I learn to trust You with every aspect of my life. May this year be the year where I reach more souls, and touch more lives.  Lord, I have learned from personal experience that I can do NOTHING in my own strength. True Peace
