He is Faithful!

He is faithful! This is not just an exclamation of faith, but a statement based on personal experience. Looking back on my life thus far, I can only humbly proclaim that God has never let me down. He has made crooked paths straight, and has opened doors that only the hand of Omnipotence could open. He has also closed doors, but looking back I can only see His wonderful providence. This is so very reassuring. Since I know that I serve a God who doesn't change, I can rest in the assurance that He will continue to lead me in His ways. Though the future may be clouded by uncertainty, I can rest in the knowledge that He sees the end from the beginning. Why then should I fret when I don't understand His ways or discern His leading? Has He ever failed me? Most certainly not! But much rather He has watched over this trembling child with a love beyond measure.
May I ever trust my Savior! Will He not bestow good gifts on the purchase of His blood? He is  forever faithful!

Great Things

Let's be honest. I don't think there is anybody that does not desire to accomplish great things. A lot of us want to impact the world in mighty ways; yes we want to bring about change that is noticeable. There is nothing wrong with wanting to do great things, but I do believe that we don't fully understand what is "great" in God's eyes. Working at the nursing home has taught me that some of the greatest things in life are little things in the world's eyes. The world does not consider holding a dejected man's hand, or looking at a picture book with a 95 year old woman as "great" things, but I can assure you that it means a great deal to the individual. May The Year 2016 Be Different

A new year has begun Lord, and I want this year to be the best one I have had yet. I am not asking for earthly wealth, and am not seeking ease, but Lord I pray that this year will be different. May this year be the year that I draw closer to You than I have ever before. May this be the year where I learn to trust You with every aspect of my life. May this year be the year where I reach more souls, and touch more lives.  Lord, I have learned from personal experience that I can do NOTHING in my own strength. True Peace
